I don't have it that bad...

So everywhere I go I get asked if I have seen the show "Jon and Kate Plus 8!" I could always say no until now. Ryan fell asleep on the couch so I was just flipping through the channels and there was nothing else on so I decided to check it out. I have now been sitting here for almost an hour laughing out loud to myself. I seriously cannot even imagine. I have thought I have had a very bad couple of days between Easton slicing his eye open, Brady falling in the bathtub with his clothes on while I was in the shower, Easton getting a bloody nose, Easton getting a rug burn and 3 new bruises on his forhead (I guess he is very clumsy and yes, he looks like an abused child). I now realize that it could be so much worse. I am so glad that my kids were natural and I don't think there is any way I could naturally have 6 children at once. I have to say after watching this show my idea of how many kids I want to have is quickly shrinking. AAHHH!!! I feel stressed just watching it!

Fun, Fun, Fun!

The other day Ryan and I were eating chips and salsa and Brady and Easton were going crazy. We finally put them in their high chairs and gave them their own bowl of salsa. They seriously drank it...they loved it! It is their new favorite snack. They were such a mess after but at least they were happy! With all the excitement of Disneyland I failed to mention that my best friend from college came to stay with us for a few days. She has the cutest little girl Brooklyn who is just a few months older than Brady and Easton. It was so fun to have them here and spend some time with them. They are actually going to live here in the summer and we are so excited! Our kids had fun together! They loved to play upstairs and would chase each other around and then go sit on the ledge by our bathtub. They also loved playing with their toothbrushes which all matched! After 6 long weeks of not seeing the Geoff Hill family we have been so excited to spend some time with them again. We missed them like crazy! Last week Aleena and I took the kids to the park for the picnic. They were so happy to be together and they play so well! My kids love Aria and just follow her everywhere she goes! Laila is the most beautiful little baby ever, I cannot get enough of her!Day 4 and 5 of Disneyland coming soon...I have to get pictures from Whit and her mom before I post!

What's Gonna Work...Team Work!

The other day I was upstairs trying to fold some laundry. I shut the doors to all the bedrooms and Brady and Easton were just running around. They disappeared for a minute and when I went to find them this is what they were up to.Ryan probably has 100 workout shirts in his bottom drawers and they completely emptied both of them.

This is how they did it. Whoever invented these type of doors did not have children. My kids are really not that tall and they can already open all our doors. The other day I went upstairs to brush my teeth and I found them outside on the driveway when I came down. They help each other get these doors open, it is so funny!

As I was cleaning up the mess in our room they went in their room and threw everything on their floor and then started pushing this chair around to get to things. It's no wonder I have a hard time keeping my house clean!

P.S. Don't mind the backpacks in all the pictures. We got them for Disneyland and they have worn them every day since. They bring them to me every morning to put them on and leave them on for hours. They are so funny but at least we know they will wear them!

Disneyland Day 3!

On Friday we got up and started packing our stuff. While Ryan and I were trying to get everything ready to go the boys were playing and we found Easton like this. We went to Disneyland again and went on the Jungle Cruise. Brady and Easton loved to look at all the animals. Then we let the boys climb through the treehouse. It was a good workout carrying a baby up all those stairs. The boys were worn out after a while but we had to check out of our hotel room so we had to get them to take a nap in their stroller. We walked over to Downtown Disney and they fell asleep. We found this quiet place outside of one of the Disney hotels and they slept for 2 hours. It was so nice. Ryan and I just relaxed and ate some lunch! When they woke up we went over to California Adventure to play there. We went to the new Playhouse Disney show. It had the characters from Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and some other disney shows. The boys loved it. Brady loved it so much he kept trying to run up on the stage so Ryan ended up standing in the back holding him. We went on Bugs Life and some other little kid rides. I am so sad that this picture did not turn out because Ryan and I have one just like it 5 years ago when we were dating. I think we will try again.

It was a hot day and there was this place the kids could run through the water. We stripped Brady and Easton down and let them play. Brady was a little unsure but Easton was loving it. We eventually got in trouble for not having shirts and shoes on them and had to leave. At least it cooled them off a little bit though! We ended up going back to the hotel and taking the boys swimming to have a break. Luckily my cousin was staying in the same hotel so we used their room.

After that we headed back to the park for a few hours. When we could tell the boys had had it we got them in the car and headed home. They slept the whole way and we got home at midnight! It was another wonderful day!

We are headed back down to Disneyland this weekend to meet up with my friend Whitney and her family! I know everyone thinks we are crazy but we are so excited to go back and especially to spend time with our good friends!

Disneyland Day 2

Brady and Easton woke up bright and early on Thursday morning, lucky us! We got ready and headed to the park right when it opened. As soon as we walked in the gate we saw Pluto so we went and got our picture taken with him! It was so nice because the lines were really short and we were able to walk right onto a lot of them. We even took them on the Haunted Mansion ride and the only time they cried was at the very beginning when this girl screamed right in their ear.

We went back to the hotel so we could all take a nap and get ready for the BYU game. When they woke up we got them in their Y shirts and went over to the Honda Center. It was kind of a nightmare at first because they were so unorganized. The parking was a joke and then we had to stand outside in the sun on the pavement for 1 hour while they cleared the whole place out. Brady and Easton were not happy and I was so frustrated. As soon as we got in and the game started they were really good and loved watching the ball. BYU was pathetic at first but were able to kind of pull it together and make it a pretty good game. They ended up loosing which was sad :( I was so annoyed that I forgot to get a picture at the game. Oops! We grabbed some dinner and had plans to head back over to the park for the electric parade. Ryan and I started getting ready but then decided we were way to exhausted. We just hung out at our hotel and let the kids run around and play instead. We had another fun, exhausting day!

Happy Easter!

We have had a wonderful Easter together as a family! We had a visit from the Easter bunny! He came and left Brady and Easton a few surprises. I filled some eggs with jelly beans (which they love) and their favorite thing was just to shake them and make noise. They were so excited to see what they got! We got them these bear backpacks that are a leash for Disneyland this weekend...now they can be like River! We got the boys all ready in their Easter outfits and headed off to church. It was a big day at church for us because Brady and Easton went to nursery for the first time. They are 2 weeks shy of 18 months but we decided we would take them to get them used to it. All these kids were in there crying so I was a little nervous. We took them in and they started to play with the toys and didn't even look at us. We stood at the back of the room for about 5 minutes and they never even glanced in our direction. We asked the leaders if we could leave them and they said yes. I went and checked on them after sunday school and they gave us the thumbs up. When we went to pick them up they told us they were really good. I guess Brady would go in the corner every once in a while and get sad for a few seconds and instead of coloring a picture they ate the crayons, but other than that they did great. It was so nice for us to be able to go to church again! Here are a few pictures of Brady and Easton in their Easter outfits! They were not cooperating for me so I did the best I could. I really needed my mom :)We had a quiet evening at home together as a family. The boys played in the laundry basket and with their eggs. The picture is cool cause Easton had just thrown the egg. We had yummy food from the Honey Baked Ham store for dinner. Now the boys are in bed and we are relaxing. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter too!

Disneyland Day 1

We had such a great time in California! My confession is this...we were not too good about taking pictures. I just kept forgetting and it was such a hassle plus the boys would not cooperate for pictures. We did not even do the classics in front of the castle or in the front of Disneyland. We are going back this weekend and will be better because we will be with Whit and she can help me out. Anyway, here is a recap of our first day at Disneyland!

We left Wednesday morning and got to our hotel around 2:00. We checked in and dropped our stuff and headed to Disneyland. The parade was about to start just as we got there so we thought it would be a great time to hit up some rides. We went to Fantasyland and rode a few of the rides there. I was mostly worried about standing in line but the boys were so good. They just played with the chains and the fences and loved the attention they were getting. I think they were entertaining everyone around us too! We could hear all the comments about the "red-headed twins" and as people would get closer they would tell us how beautiful they were! The boys were so fascinated on the rides. They just sat there wide eyed trying to take it all in. I was worried they would cry on the scary parts but they never did, not once.

We went to Toon Town and let them run around to burn some energy! After that we watched the parade. Before the parade started they had the "grand marshall" who won a night stay in the "fantasy suite." It was this little 6 year old boy who had the biggest smile on his face I have ever seen. I started to cry. I know that my kids are too little to understand where we were or what we were doing but it was so fun to be there with them. I was thinking back to all the fun memories I had in this magical place and I was so choked up. I decided right there that this trip was worth it because even though they will not remember it, Ryan and I will. The parade was so well done and my kids absolutely loved it. We were on the very front row and they got so much attention. As all the characters went by they would come up to Brady and Easton and blow them kisses and stuff. It was so much fun! We decided we were going to stay in the park as long as they were being good. We went on a few more rides and then decided to go on Pirates of the Carribean. They were having fun and loving it one minute and the next minute Brady was passed out on Ryan's lap. We knew we were done and we had worn them out. We headed back to our hotel and all went to bed exhausted. It was such a fun first day and Ryan and I were so excited for the days to come!
