It's Snowing!!!

Yes I am still in Nevada and what to our wondering eyes should appear...SNOW! I cannot believe it is snowing! I am not going to lie, I didn't even know it snowed here. Brady and Easton are so excited. All they have done for the last hour is stare out the window. Here is my attempt at getting them to turn around and say cheese. They seriously could not stop staring for 2 seconds. They were saying cheese just the wrong direction! Here is a video for the family! Not too exciting but I know you love video and you can hear them talking! Sorry about my annoying commentary. This made me so excited to go to Utah where they will be able to play in the snow. I don't know if they will like it as much when they are actually in it though!

I left my suitcase in Nevada...

This is not a joke. When we headed to Utah for Thanksgiving we left in a hurry. Ryan got off earlier than expected and I was anxious to get on the road. The whole drive I could not shake the feeling that I had forgotten something. I was relieved when I realized it was just some pictures for Ryan's mom that I could bring later (or so I thought). We even joked with his family about always forgetting something and that I was glad it was not something more important. I had packed a separate bag with shoes, my "get ready" stuff, and the boys medicine. We got there late so I just grabbed that bag and we went to bed. The next day my sisters wanted to go running so I ran out to get my bag and when I opened the back of our car I realized...I LEFT MY SUIT CASE IN NEVADA. I had no clothes and no undies but I did have my shoe bag! I was so distraught. Luckily I have sisters I can share clothes with but it was still pretty traumatic. When we got home I had to laugh as I unpacked my suit case that never made it to Utah!

Happy Birthday Abbey!

Yesterday was my little sister Abbey's 21st birthday! Abbey is one of my best friends in the entire world. I can't believe we used to fight all the time and did not always get along. Now she is one of my favorite people to be with! She is the best aunt and adores my kids. I love you Abbey! I hope you had a wonderful day and know how much we love you!

Thanksgiving Fun!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was so fun for Brady and Easton to see their cousins. It is so nice that they are getting older and they are starting follow around the older kids and play! The first night we were there Brady and Easton got to take a bath with Broox and Cooper. These boys love my kids and it is so fun to see them all together. After a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma White's we had a big sleepover at Ryan's parents house. I am telling you, we have a family full of boys with a few girls thrown in!On Friday we headed to my parent's house to play with more cousins. Brady and Easton have an obsession with bathrooms and throwing everything in the bathtub. They escaped upstairs and this is what I found. Apparently the water did not get let out after their bath and we foun my mom and dads clothes, Kelsey's shoes and MAC makeup, and other special treasures in there. Good thing my mom has a sense of humor and laughed hysterically to the point she could not stand up. We love you mom!
I thought this picture was cute. They found Kelsey's shoes and hat and put them on. Thanks to everyone who made our trip a special one. We are excited to head back to Utah in a few weeks for Christmas!

I left my heart in UTAH...

Today Ryan called me during his lunch break. As we were talking I cut him off and said, "Ryan I am HOME SICK." He proceeded to tell me Nevada is my home now (which he always does) and although it is true, I told him I am still home sick for UTAH. I miss my mom, my sisters, the rest of our families, my friends, being able to actually watch the BYU football games, the mountains, and maybe even the snow?!?

I started to think about how quickly time has gone since we had Brady and Easton. We moved here when they were just 8 months old and now they are 2! The time for us to move back to Utah is fast approaching and with the Holidays coming, our time left here is limited. I have LOVED living here in Nevada. I have loved our ward, the friends we have made, the experiences we have had, and the way our family has been strengthened. I would not change the time we have spent here for anything and to be honest, we have actually even talked about taking a job here because we have loved it so much. But today it dawned on me, I left my heart in Utah! Think what you will...whether you hate Utah, think it is dumb to raise your family there, or all the other things I hear every day, it is my HOME! I love it there and although leaving will be hard, I think come MARCH I will be ready to go home.

I am excited to head that way tomorrow and be able to spend Thanksgiving with our families! Utah here we come!!!

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!

We are headed to Utah in a few days for Thanksgiving but before we left we wanted to decorate for Christmas. We had fun letting the boys help this year. They threw the ornaments and loved playing with the animals that go with our Nativity! I love this time of year and having my house all decorated made me really excited for Christmas!

Twilight!!!

I was one of many who stayed up until midnight to watch Twilight last night. They opened the doors at the theater at 9:00 because the lines were so long it wound into the casino putting all these underage girls in the casino. The joys of living in Vegas! I had to work until 11:00 so my friend Amanda saved me a seat!

I thought the movie was good though I was disappointed in some of the casting. Jasper looked like he had a stick up his bottom the whole time, Carlisle is much younger than I expected, Rosalie is not as drop dead gorgeous as she should be, and although Edward grew on me throughout the movie, he was still not what I had pictured. Jessica was my favorite! I thought it followed the book well, at least from what I remember. All in all I thought it was pretty good just hard to love when you don't love the main characters. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

My New Addiction!

My friend Shea got me into coupon shopping a couple of months ago and I have been hooked since. It is so addicting and so fun! The other night we had dinner and then left the kiddos with their dads to enjoy Monday Night Football together. We had a great shopping night. I spent about $6.00 total on all of this!!! What did I get?- 8 tubes of toothpaste (stocking up for a Christmas project)
- 5 sticks of deodarant (same thing)
- Batteries
- Face lotion
- 4 Glade candles
- Windex wipes
- 2 multi surface cleaners
- Zantrex energy shots

Yep, that is why I am addicted!

Big Gulp

It is no secret that I love Dr. Pepper and nothing beats a Big Gulp from 7-Eleven! The other night Ryan went and got us drinks so we had 2 cups laying around. This morning I was trying to find the boys and could hear them but could not figure out where they were. I finally found them in the bathroom drinking their Big Gulps. I am such a great influence. This is exactly how I found them!

Flexing Boys!

Today Ryan was teaching the boys how to flex. I know this is sideways but I can't get it to turn. I am so mad and I don't know why I recorded it this way. Anyway, if you have a lap top turn it sideways. These boys make me laugh everyday!

Oh to be 18 again?!?

Happy birthday to my baby sister! I cannot imagine our family without Kelsey in it. She has the most vibrant personality and can always make me laugh! Kelsey is a wonderful sister and aunt. All the kids adore her and she is so good to them. We love you Kels! I hope you have a wonderful birthday, you deserve it!

For her birthday we wanted to put together a book of advice. So, I am asking all of my blogging friends and stalkers to give me your thoughts. Think back to when you were 18 years old, graduating from High School, dating the school football star, moving onto college, leaving home, etc.

What advice do you have for my little sister???

Leave your comments below and we will type them and put them in a book to give to her. We thought it would be fun for her to read. Thanks for your help!

Trick Or Treat!!

The boys looked adorable! I loved their Superman costumes (actually PJ's)! Here are the 4 kids! They all looked so cute!Geoff even dressed up!
Brady was very confused..as we would walk up to every door he would get a piece of candy out of his bag and when they would open the door he would put candy in their buckets. He did this at every house. It was so funny! We had fun trick or treating! Brady and Easton loved it! It was a little different than what we are used to. At my parents neighborhood there are a million kids and the doorbell rings all night. That was not the case here.

We went to Geoff and Aleena's for soup with some friends and then headed out trick or treating. There were hardly any other kids out and not very many people had lights on so we only went to a few houses. I am fine with it because Brady and Easton don't need anymore candy than what they got, it was just kind of weird to me. Now we are home and have not had 1 trick or treater. Too bad!

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving Fun!

I have been insisting that we carve pumpkins with Brady and Easton this year. Originally Ryan was not too excited about the idea but went along with it anyway. It ended up being a lot of fun for all of us!

They had fun sticking their hands in and helping us get out all the junk!Once the pumpkins were cleaned out all they wanted to do was put everything back in. I finally got them a bowl and they put it all in there instead. It entertained them the whole time Ryan and I carved. When we lit them and turned out the lights Brady kept saying "WOW!!" It was so funny! I bet you can't guess which one is mine and which one is Ryan's?!? We put them out on the porch and for the rest of the night Brady and Easton waved and said, "bye bye pumpkins." Everything is so much more fun when you have kids to share it with. I have never been a huge pumpkin carving fan but this year it was a lot of fun!

St. George

We were able to go to St. George with my family for some much needed R&R last weekend. It was so much fun! I drove down with my mom, Kelsey, and her friend Wes. We made Brady and Easton wear these headphones so we didn't have to listen to their shows! They looked so funny!Daddy and Brady!Still Ryan's favorite trick!Kelsey beat Ryan in a race! We went on a little hike! Easton was gripping my dad's face because he was scared...my dad is such a good sport! We watched Barney with Aria!On Sunday we went to church and then went and walked around the Temple! We love Aunt Kelsey and this could be the cutest picture ever!Sisters! These 2 were such good sports and were so good with my kids. We had fun hanging out, playing games, and swimming! My kids do not like sand...can you tell? They loved playing on the playground! They loved hanging out with Kels and Wes!Thanks mom and dad/mama and papa for the great trip and for letting the boys sleep in your closet! The Funeral

I was able to go with my mom, cousins, aunts, and sister-n-laws to dress my Grandma. I was very nervous about going and almost backed out last minute but I am so glad I decided to go. It was a very neat experience for me and helped me have a little closure. This picture was taken right when we finished. The night before the funeral Kelsey realized she had borrowed a dress of my Grandma's for a 50s dance last year and never returned it. She came down and asked if we thought she should wear it to the funeral. We decided it would be a sweet tribute to her. We went over to her house and took some dresses and some jewlery. A few of us wore her dresses, Abbey wore her wedding dress, and all her daughters and granddaughters wore a piece of her jewlery. It was a neat thing for us to do. She had great taste! After the funeral we all went back to my parent's house and we let balloons off into the sky. It was fun and of course all the kids loved it. The funeral was a wonderful tribute to my Grandma's life. We love her so much and miss her everyday! I can't wait to see her again.
