Slacker...

I have been a horrible blogger. I lost my camera which is part of the reason for my lack of posts. I am so sad. It had pictures of some fun things we have been up to. I am still looking for it and hopefully I will find it.

We have had a fun few weeks. Seven peaks, the zoo, bowling with good friends, a visit from my bestie, helping Abbey get her classroom ready, and spending time with Geoff and Aleena! The boys start pre-school today and they are so excited! It is going to be a great year! More to come if/when I find my camera :)

McGiven Family Reunion

After the 4th we had a McGiven family reunion. To keep down on cost, we decided to stay in Provo and have everyone gather here. It turned out better than I expected and we loved spending time with everyone!

On Sunday night we all gathered at Grandma White's for a baby blessing, dinner, and fireworks!
BradyGrandma Sue and LukeGarrett and BeauPeyton and MckellBroox and KJOn Monday we had an appetizer competition. It was so fun! Ryan's family is intense and everyone (except for me) put a lot of time and effort into the dishes. It was all good fun! We ended up taking second! HA HA! On Tuesday we went to a park and played on the slip'n slide...played a relay gameand played kickballOn Wednesday we watched Swiss Family Robinson outsideand set up tents for the family campout in the yardOn Thursday we had closing ceremonies. The kids each got an award from their Grandma and Grandpa! We had a talent show that Kevin and Lindsay's family won outright! They were hilarious! (this picture is a little blurry but so funny)To finish off the night we had karaoke which was a blast! It was a huge success! We especially loved seeing the people who live far away and we don't get to see very often! Can't wait to see everyone again!

The Parade!

I am trying to get caught up. Better late than never right?!?

I grew up in the best neighborhood ever and it is tradition to go to the Parade every year and sit together. It is especially fun now because we all bring our kids. Ryan usually does the 10K in the morning and I bring the kids to the parade. He hates parades and rarely comes. This year since I was doing the race he was responsible for getting our kids there. He came and he actually enjoyed it! I was so happy!Could they be any cuter?!?The best aunt and the best baby!

Running?!?

I am not a runner. I have never liked it...ever. I have tried to run in the past and after about 10 minutes I feel like I am going to die. My family set a goal to do the Ragnar Las Vegas in October. I have been running and training and am actually starting to KIND OF enjoy it. Renee, Kelsey, and I decided last minute to do the 5K at the Freedom Festival. It was the most pleasant running experience I have ever had. The weather was great and the company was perfect (missed you Abbey).

We were a little too excited to see my mom!The finishers!

Special Visitors

We love the 4th of July! This year was especially fun because our bestest friends came to visit us from Vegas! We loved having them here and getting to spend some time with them!

We got up Saturday morning and started to get ready. After their showers they realized their girls' suitcase didn't get in the car. A quick run to Wal-Mart and we were on our way! We went to downtown Provo to enjoy the festivities. The kids got to play in the bounce houses and pet a snake! Then we let them ride some of the rides. We could not believe they let little Hadlee (who isn't even 2) on this ride. It was so scary. She was a little scared but did great! That night Shea and I went to the Stadium of Fire to see Carrie Underwood. It was amazing! Ryan and Scott did fireworks with the kids but Shea and I both took our cameras so we don't have any pictures. Boo. We were sad to see them go and wish we would have had more time to spend with them. We are so glad we got to see them and can't wait til next time!
