What A Night

It all started when Easton fell down the stairs this afternoon. Both of the boys are pretty good about turning around and sliding backwards but I guess that today he thought he could walk down?!? It was down hill from there for poor Easton. Tonight I was upstairs and Ryan started yelling for me. I came running downstairs to Easton bleeding from his mouth. He was walking around with his sippy cup, the kind with the straw, he is still a little unsteady on his feet and he fell and sliced the inside of his lip open. Poor kid. I was freaking out because of course I thought it needed stitches and he was crying so hard. We got the bleeding stopped and calmed him down and he was okay. He has fallen two more times since then and split that same spot open and it has started to bleed each time.

I keep telling Ryan the poor kid is going to have brain damage cause when he falls he doesn't try to catch himself with his hands, he falls straight on his head. He has bruises all across his forehead. Seriously I don't know what I am going to do with him.

Brady has been in trouble today for hitting his brother so he has spent a lot of time in time out. It doesn't work very well because every time I put him in the corner Easton runs over and sits next to him. Ryan says it is the cutest thing he has ever seen. I ran over and took this picture of them in the corner tonight (this is the 4th time he has done it today). So much for a punishment.

Shoes We Love...

My friend Whitney introduced us to these shoes. The website is chinadirectstore.com. Click on "squeeky shoes for children". This website has squeeky shoes for a great price. If you don't like the squeeker you can take it out and they are still great shoes. We have loved these and the boys wear them all the time. We got 2 pairs and 1 ended up being too small and the company has been great to work with and is letting me send them back and get the ones I want. If you are in the market for new shoes for your kids I would highly reommend these ones.

In Loving Memory...

I am still having a hard time believing the sad news my mom called me with a few hours ago. I don't know if it will really sink in until we watch April conference and he is not there. I am feeling very sad tonight. President Hinckley was an amazing man and left behind a wonderful legacy. I feel like he has been the prophet my whole life, at least as long as I have been old enough to remember. He did so many wonderful things for The Church. I know that a wonderful reunion is going on in Heaven right now, not only with his wife but with so many who are grateful for all that he has done. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

So I am just getting ready to go to the airport. I am getting a little sad. This sounds so dumb but I swear my kids know I am leaving. Easton woke up earlier than usual so I just went and got him and put him in bed with me. Usually he is all restless and just wants to get up but this morning he just layed there with me and fell asleep. Brady woke up and has been so sweet. He keeps wanting me to pick him up and then he hugs me and pats my back. Seriously, it is 2 days, why am I so sad. AHHHHH!!!!

Okay well now that I am crying I am going to go finish getting ready. I have lots of fun plans while I am in Utah so I know I will have fun and be fine as soon as I get there. I will post pics later! I hope you are doing something fun this weekend too!

A Little Nervous...

So in case you didn't know...I am headed to Utah on Thursday afternoon ALONE. Yes, you read right, ALONE. I am leaving my kids behind and flying there Thursday and will be back on Saturday night. I have a work thing I have to go to so that is the reason for the quick visit. I have been so excited since I bought my ticket because I have really felt like it was time for a break. As it is getting closer I am starting to feel a little nervous. I know I am crazy but the longest I have ever been away from my kids is 2 days and that was when Ryan and I came to Vegas to look for somewhere to live. The other day I was almost trying to get Ryan to tell me that it wasn't going to work for me to go and I needed to cancel my ticket but he didn't and I am glad. Ryan is going to have the kids most of the time with the help of my wonderful sister-n-law Aleena while he is at school.

I am looking forward to hanging out with my sisters and relaxing. My best friend also had a baby in November and even though I have been to Utah twice I have hardly seen her because my kids were sick both times. I am excited to hang out with Whit and hold Saylor. I am going to miss my kids (who wouldn't miss those kids) but I am excited for a little break!

FINALLY!!!!!!

So Easton has been a little slow getting up the courage to let go of the furniture/wall and walk. He has been taking a few steps the last few days and we have been so excited. We just got the boys out of the bath and brought them downstairs. Ryan stood Easton up and he just started walking! It was like he all of the sudden decided he could do it. It has kind of been sad when Brady is walking around playing with all the kids and Easton just stands there. We are glad he can now join in the fun and play! Ryan says tomorrow his exercise program starts!

Our Morning Walks...

Easton, Brady, Trenton, Jaxon, Sammie, Bailee, Anna, and Hannah.
We love our morning walks with our friends! It gives me something to look forward to every day. We are so lucky that the weather is good enough here that we can bundle up the kids and go. We go on walks most mornings but on Mondays and Wednesdays we go to exercise group at the church where the kids run around the cultural hall while the mommies try to get in some exercise. It is so fun to have something to look forward to every morning to get us going. This is what we usually look like and sometimes there are more!
