Disneyland Day 1

We had such a great time in California! My confession is this...we were not too good about taking pictures. I just kept forgetting and it was such a hassle plus the boys would not cooperate for pictures. We did not even do the classics in front of the castle or in the front of Disneyland. We are going back this weekend and will be better because we will be with Whit and she can help me out. Anyway, here is a recap of our first day at Disneyland!

We left Wednesday morning and got to our hotel around 2:00. We checked in and dropped our stuff and headed to Disneyland. The parade was about to start just as we got there so we thought it would be a great time to hit up some rides. We went to Fantasyland and rode a few of the rides there. I was mostly worried about standing in line but the boys were so good. They just played with the chains and the fences and loved the attention they were getting. I think they were entertaining everyone around us too! We could hear all the comments about the "red-headed twins" and as people would get closer they would tell us how beautiful they were! The boys were so fascinated on the rides. They just sat there wide eyed trying to take it all in. I was worried they would cry on the scary parts but they never did, not once.

We went to Toon Town and let them run around to burn some energy! After that we watched the parade. Before the parade started they had the "grand marshall" who won a night stay in the "fantasy suite." It was this little 6 year old boy who had the biggest smile on his face I have ever seen. I started to cry. I know that my kids are too little to understand where we were or what we were doing but it was so fun to be there with them. I was thinking back to all the fun memories I had in this magical place and I was so choked up. I decided right there that this trip was worth it because even though they will not remember it, Ryan and I will. The parade was so well done and my kids absolutely loved it. We were on the very front row and they got so much attention. As all the characters went by they would come up to Brady and Easton and blow them kisses and stuff. It was so much fun! We decided we were going to stay in the park as long as they were being good. We went on a few more rides and then decided to go on Pirates of the Carribean. They were having fun and loving it one minute and the next minute Brady was passed out on Ryan's lap. We knew we were done and we had worn them out. We headed back to our hotel and all went to bed exhausted. It was such a fun first day and Ryan and I were so excited for the days to come!

Disneyland Here We Come...

If you are reading the title of this post and wondering why I have never mentioned going to Disneyland on my blog before it is because we planned this trip today. I am not kidding. On Sunday when we found out BYU would be playing in Anaheim I said to Ryan, "let's go!" I was sort of kidding but here we are 2 days later...we have tickets to the game, a hotel, and tickets to Disneyland! Those of you who know me know that I am not big on spur of the moment decisions, this is all Ryan. It is better this way though. Now I won't go out and spend tons of money getting ready to go because I don't have time and we will just have to get by with what we have. We will be back late Friday night. Hopefully it will go well, it could be quite the adventure. If all goes well we will be going back to Disneyland next weekend to meet up with my friend Whitney and her family (I will explain it all later) In the meantime, hope you are all having a great week!

Oh yeah...GO COUGARS!

When You're The Best Of Friends...

I had a wonderful weekend! Three of my best friends drove down to spend the weekend with me. Ryan took over the kids and we were off. We had big plans to shop, maybe go to a show, see some movies, and just hang out. Instead we spent 2 days SHOPPING, eating out, SHOPPING, and doing nothing else. We literally shopped until we dropped. It was pathetic but so much fun! We had bags, bags, and more bags. I found Easter outfits for Brady and Easton and a few cute things for myself. Steph and Jess are both pregnant and were such troopers with all the walking we had to do. Thank you for coming to visit me! I had such a great time and it was a nice and much needed break!

Headbangers Ball

Last night Ryan was hanging out with the kids while I was working. He started yelling for me to come downstairs and this is what I found. Easton started doing it after I took this video. Now when they hear music they start headbanging. They crack me up! I never know what Ryan is teaching them while I am working.

Happy Birthday Geoff!

Happy Birthday to my brother Geoff. I have so many memories with Goeff and loved growing up so close. Geoff was the one who taught me to drive (I almost killed us both) and the one that always kept me laughing (and crying). It is thanks to him that Ryan and I are married and that we moved to Nevada! He is a wonderful brother, friend, and a fabulous father to his darling little girls! I hope you have a wonderful birthday Geoff! We love you!

As Promised...

Here are my favorite pictures from the photo shoot. They were not being very cooperative so that is why they have crackers in a few of these pictures but I still think they are cute! Life doesn't get any better than this. These boys are the love of my life! I am so lucky to have them BOTH, they make me SMILE every day! I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I have...I have looked at them 100 times! Thank you to my wonderful personal photographer and mother! We love you!

What A Great Surprise!

When I got home on Thursday this was sitting in my garage all set up and ready to go! What a great hubby I have. I admit I have to be careful about what I say because if I say I want something Ryan will usually get it for me! He is so sweet!

When we were debating whether or not to get the stroller I asked Ryan if he would ever use it and he kind of laughed and said no. The other day I was working and Ryan came upstairs and put on his running clothes. I asked him what he was doing (since he was in charge of the boys) and he said going running with the boys. They were gone for over an hour and when they came back they were both asleep. Ryan said they loved it! I haven't even used it yet but I can't wait! Thanks for the recommendation Rach! We are now the proud owners of 3 double strollers!
