Fun in Utah!!!

We have been MIA for a while because we have been traveling. We were gone for over 3 weeks and had so much fun! We first headed to Utah during Ryan's finals so he could concentrate on school without us distracting him! We had a blast hanging out with family!

We went to the zoo with all of my family! Geoff and all his wives and kids! Easton loved the animals but Brady made me hold him for some of it cause he was scared. We had so much fun!We got to meet baby Eliza and I got to see my friends! We played in Grandma's blue car!We ate pizza! We sat in time out...Grandma thought it was funny enough to take a picture which makes disciplining hard! After the race (see below) we hung out for a day and then headed to Pebble Beach, California. Pictures to come!

Fun in Utah (the second time)

Here is a long list of our favorite things we did when we went back!Went on the slip'n'slide with dad!Had our first popsicles!Sat in the "hot tub" with our cousins!Got thrown in the air by daddy! (Brady loved it and Easton was terrified)Drank caprisuns (played with the straw) Tried to take a picture on the 4th with our cousins! It was so fun to meet baby Olivia! She is beautiful! We loved spending time with all of the Jake Hill family who we don't see much! It was worth the trip back to be able to see them! Thanks to my wonderful mom and dad for letting us crash at their house and to Ryan's mom for helping us with the boys! We had a great time!

Wasatch Back Relay!

Sorry for the lack of updates. We have spent the last few weeks out of town. We headed to Utah and are now relaxing in California. I will post lots about our trip over the next few days but I wanted to do this post first!

I am so proud of my hubby! For the last 3 years he has ran the Wastach Back Relay, a relay race with 12 team members that goes from Logan to Park City. My cousin and uncle are actually the founders of the race and have done an incredible job. The first year I think they had 30 teams and this year, 5 years later, they had 578 teams! The first 2 years Ryan ran he ran with a random team of people he did not know. This year he tried to put together a family team which in the end turned out to be a random team of family and friends. It was especially fun for Ry to run with his brothers and brother-n-laws! They had so much fun and did a great job coming in 101 overall!

They had some crazy experiences. They decided to rent vans this year and on their way up to Logan a metal rod flew off of a truck, hit their car, and smashed their windshield. When they called to tell me about it I thought they were saying a rock hit their car and did not think it was that big of a deal. It was a good thing I didn't realize the severity of it until I saw Ryan and knew he was okay. Apparently the police officer told them how lucky they were because if the rod would have it a different spot it would have been much worse. After a police report and getting a new van, they made it to the start line and headed out. I helped at the start line with my mom and sisters which is always fun! I love to see the excitment of the runners crazy enough to do this. Ryan was the first runner and it was fun to see him take off. We headed to the "big exchange" and watched Ryan's brother Kevin come flying in. He later ended up with severe heat stroke/dehydration from pushing himself a little too hard on his leg. He did so awesome though. My dad ended up putting an IV in him and driving him home at 3:00 a.m. He is a McGiven though and it was no surprise that he met up with his team the next morning and helped them finish the race!

Through heat stroke and a car accident we are glad everyone was okay! They finished the race, 181 miles, in 26 hours and 29 minutes! It was a great time had by all! We are so proud of them and are already looking forward to next year!

A Fun Day With Linz!

One of my very best friends came to Vegas for a few days with her mom and sister. It was so much fun for me to spend time with her and her darling boy Peyton! Ryan had the day off school so we took the boys to her hotel and went swimming in the morning. I came home and got ready and then went and met her for a fun afternoon of shopping...what we do best together! I am so glad you came down Linz! Thanks for letting me tag along with you!

Olivia Daphne Hill

I got distracted and forgot to post about my darling new niece. She is so perfect! She got a full head of Michelle's beautiful dark hair, so unfair. Jake and Michelle did not find out what they were having and I was sure they were having a boy but we are thrilled to add another baby girl to our growing family! She was born on my dad's birthday so that is pretty cool. I cannot wait to meet the new little princess sometime this summer! Congratulations Jake, Michelle, Gavin, and Laney! We love you!

Having fun!

I have not had too much to blog about but we have been staying busy. It has been so hot here lately. We are not looking forward to July and August! Last week Ry was in a softball tournament with our ward. They were not too good but we had fun watching and playing with our friends! The boys were caked in sunscreen and then played in the sand which made for 2 very messy boys. At least they had fun getting dirtyHanging out with our friend Caleb!

Today we had fun riding our bikes on the balcony! They love to climb on the railing and yell as loud as they can. Everyone walking by was trying to figure out where the yelling was coming from! Tonight the boys had lots of fun with their daddy. They were supposed to be getting ready for bed but instead Ry got them very wound up. We did handstands. Got thrown in the air. We climbed in the toy box. We played our daddy's guitar!

We are so lucky to have such a fun dad!
