SYTYCD and 2008 OLYMPICS!!

As we finished watching SYTYCD tonight I felt so sad thinking I have to wait another year to watch it again. I love this show! It was so fun to watch all the best performances through the season tonight. They did a lot of my favorites and it got me so excited for the tour! Congratulations to Joshua! I think he is great! On another note I am so excited for the Olympics I can hardly contain myself! I have set up my tivo and will be watching faithfully for the next 2 weeks! I love the Olypmics and everything about it. I feel so proud to be an American and watch the US compete and be so amazing! I am looking forward to all of it but mostly swimming, track, and GYMNASTICS! GO USA!!!!!!!

How Could I Forget?!?

I forgot to mention in my previous post the man who made my whole trip possible. Thank you to my sweet hubby who knew I needed a break and willingly took my kids so I could enjoy the weekend with my friends! I was shocked when I called him Friday morning and they had just left the Shark Reef. He packed up the boys and took them to the strip by himself to see the fishies! I took the camera with me so he took pictures on his phone and sent them to me. He said they loved it! On Saturday he took them to feed the ducks with Geoff and Aria. What a great dad! Thanks Ryan for letting me go to St. George and for being such a great dad! Thanks to my anonymous commentor for reminding me how awesome my husband is!

Girls Trip!

Last weekend I drove up and met 5 of my girlfriends in St. George for a relaxing getaway! We did all the things girls love to do. Here are a "few of my favorite things..."

1. Sound of Music at Tuachan. We were burning up but it was still great fun!2. The spa -- we had pedicures, facials, and other treatments!3. We layed out by the pool.4. I got to hang out with the new babies...Eliza and Christian! They are so cute and were both so good! Eliza gave us a little scare but she pulled through okay!5. Yummy food and treats.
6. Mama Mia...what's a girls trip without a chick flick?
7. SHOPPING!

I am so lucky to have such great friends! I love spending time with them and no matter how long it has been since I have seen some of them we seem to pick up right where we left off. It was a much needed break and I loved every minute of it!
Yes I went dark again! I know I am crazy...I just can't stay the same color for too long. Here is a closer picture of it that Steph took...I am still getting used to it but I like it! Sorry Mom :)

San Francisco!!

Even though this trip has long come and gone I still need to document it for our records so here it goes!

We headed to San Francisco on Friday afternoon. After a quick stop at the outlets to buy sweatshirts (we were not prepared for the freezing weather) we piled in the van and headed to San Fransisco.

It was so windy and so cold! Brady and Easton were totally entertained by these pigeons and the kids sitting nearby were totally entertained by them. We ended up switching Geoff and Aleena strollers because Brady and Easton thought theirs was more fun!Of course we had to watch the silver men in the street. This one was horrible but posed for a picture with Brady who gave him a tip...he was a little unsure! We went to Boudin's of course to get sourdough bread (Ryan's favorite)! Ryan took Brady and went and got it. When he came back he had this turtle that the workers had given him for free because they thought Brady was so cute...too bad we didn't have Easton there too!We went to Ghirardelli Square and got hot chocolate! We discovered this fountain with warm water and the kids had so much fun playing in it!We then headed over to Oakland to see the A's play the Giants! Besides the fact that we were freezing it was a pretty fun game! Aria had to go to the bathroom about 10 times and Brady and Easton were eating other people's food but other than that, the kids did pretty good!It was a very cold but fun day! I love San Francisco!

Shaken Up...Literally

Today I was at Costco when I got a phone call from my little sister. My phone was cutting in and out and I only heard 2 words "mom" and "earthquake". My heart was pounding a million miles a minute but she quickly followed up with "she is fine." My mom is in California with her friends from our neighborhood--aka "the hottties"--for a relaxing getaway. I guess they felt the earthquake pretty good today. I have been trying to get a hold of her since but have had no luck because I think everyone is doing the same. I am glad that she was able to make one phone call to let us know that she is okay. As I drove home, completely shaken up, the thought dawned on me...Geoff is working in LA. Seriously?!? I called Aleena (who had not heard yet) and she said she had not heard from Geoff.I turned on the news when I got home to find that it was a 5.4 and there had been no injuries reported. Thankfully I know he is okay thanks to the news. Hopefully the phone lines will clear up and we will be able to talk to my mom and Geoff soon.

Things like this are always a good reminder of how inspired our Prophets are. My calling right now involves food storage and I have been trying really hard to slowly build ours. Today this hit closer to home than usual and I was reminded how important being prepared is. I will continue to try a little harder to be better prepared as we never know what may be coming our way.

Mom and Geoff--I love you and I am so glad you are okay!

Messy Eaters!

So I told you my kids were great at making messes but this takes the cake. Tonight we had breakfast for dinner...german pancakes (or as my family calls them pop-up pancakes.) Ryan made some "special syrup" which I know included berries but I have no idea what else. The boys LOVED it! We gave them pancakes and the syrup on their trays and they went to town. They are always putting their food in their hair but tonight was extremely bad. I went upstairs for a minute and came back to this. They made a huge mess but had so much fun doing it! These boys keep me laughing all the time. They are now fast asleep but just looking at these pictures puts a smile on my face! I love being a mom to these darling boys!

Breaking Dawn...

Today I preordered my edition of Breaking Dawn from walmart.com. It only cost me $13.00 with shipping and all. I cannot wait to have it delivered to my front door on August 2 and see who Bella chooses! Are you a fan of Edward or Jacob?
