What I Miss...

I cannot believe it has almost been a year since we left Nevada. We have been so busy and have had so many BIG things happen, the time has flown by. Some days I miss it more than I ever thought I would. Here are a few things I miss about Nevada in no particular order.

1. Elephant Bar. This was my favorite place to eat. I am obsessed with the BBQ chicken salad. Oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. 2. The weather and parks. Aside from 3 months in the summer, it is the best! Right now I am sitting in a blanket in front of my fireplace. I have been freezing all day and really missing it! 3. SHOPPING. You cannot argue that they have fabulous shopping and the best outlets and sales. If you know me I love to shop and love a good sale. It was heaven for me!
4. Girls nights/BUNCO/Friends. We had so much fun going out for everyone's birthdays and having a good time. I have awesome friends! 5. Visitors. It was so fun to live somewhere not to far from home where people want to visit. We had so many people in and out of our house while we were there and always looked forward to the next visitors. We had so many people staying at our house for the Vegas Bowl that year that Kelsey's boyfriend slept in my laundry room. Good times!
6. Exercise group. We had an exercise group at our church twice a week. I loved it and always looked forward to it. We would all take our kids and they would run around the gym or play in the nursery. It was so great!
7. This adorable family...especially since their new additions! It was so nice to have family around. We loved having Sunday dinners, celebrating birthdays, swapping kids, helping out when one of us was sick, and letting the cousins play together. We miss them so much! I wish we were coming this weekend :(
8. Our bestest friends! Lately I have realized they are irreplaceable. We did everything together...date nights, share babysitters, travel, coupon shop, you name it we did it! We love them!

As I am reading over this post I am realizing that it is kind of corny but it took me a long time (Ryan is playing basketball and the kids are all asleep) and I am feeling nostalgic so I am posting it anyway!

Mongolian Friends

My parents have 4 girls from Mongolia staying with them for a week. They are so sweet but they do not speak a lick of English. Luckily Abbey's boyfriend speaks Mandarin and can come over and be our translator. They have so much energy and get so excited about everything! When I pointed to Ryan and tried to explain that he was my husband, they all gave me thumbs up and started giggling. It was hilarious!

They LOVE kids. Brady and Easton took a while to warm up but now they walk around the house saying, "where are my friends!" They especially love Luke. One of the girls kissed him so much last night he has a chapped cheek. She wanted to feed him and hold him all night. It was so cute! We quickly found out they love to shop! They are my kind of girls! She spun around and around with these on her head. Great balance!Lovin' on Luke! The gang! They love to do the peace sign in all their pictures. Easton caught on to this and started doing it too. It made me laugh! My mom and dad took them to Muse Music last night to hear my cousin's band. If you want to see pics of my dad rockin' out on the dance floor check out my mom's blog HERE. If you know my dad it is pretty funny!

Cousin Fun...

Last night we had a get together with my mom's family. The kids got out the red mats and started going down the stairs! They had so much fun and went over and over. It made all the adults laugh because we used to do this when we were little.

Getting ready to go!We think this looks like a picture from Disneyland...love it!

4 Month Stats

So Luke just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I thought he was big at 2 months but now he is HUGE!

Height: 27 inches - 97%
Weight: 17.24 lbs - 87.73%
Head: 16.5 - 38.25% (he really doesn't have a small head but my kids have flat heads which make their measurements smaller!)

Speaking of our flat-headed boys...The doctor suggested a helmet AGAIN! He favors his right side and therefore is a little more flat on that side. She says he has a "tilt" meaning he doesn't like to turn his head to the left. She said it is my choice. She doesn't think he HAS to have a helmet because it is not as bad as the twins were, but it might help. I DO NOT want to do another helmet. I have tried so hard to be good about tummy time and moving his head when he sleeps but he always turns it back. Part of the problem is the fact that he is such a good baby and has 2 demanding older brothers so he spends a lot of time on the floor. Poor kid. I don't know what I am going to do. I am hoping it will get better by itself in the next few weeks as he starts sitting up more but we will see.

Luke is still the best baby ever! He is happy all the time and will smile at anyone. He still has no hair but is as cute as can be! His favorite thing right now is his jumper. He will sit in it for hours and yesterday he even fell asleep in it! He sleeps through the night which makes for a very happy mommy! We love our chubby, bald, flat-headed boy :)

Hugs and Kisses

Last night after dinner I was trying to run out the door to the grocery store. Brady and Easton were playing but came running the second they heard the door open. In my mind I was thinking, "here we go, they are going to say they want to got to the store and throw a fit when I say no." Instead Brady came running up and said, "Mom you have to give me a hug and a kiss!" Of course Easton followed suit and was next in line for his hug and kiss! I love my boys! I have been following THIS BLOG and am reminded of how precious these little children really are. I am trying to be a little more patient and more loving than I was before. I hope that no matter what happens in life my children will always know how much I love them. Moments like last night remind me that I have 3 special boys who love me too!

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling

Luke has rolled over from his tummy to his back a few times here and there but today every time I put him on his tummy he rolls right over. Bye, bye tummy time. This boy will not stay there anymore.

Oh and in case you were wondering, I am IN LOVE with those chubby legs!
