Double The Pleasure Double The Fun!

Of all the people in the world, why was I given twins? This is a question I ask myself often and am often asked. I have been asked things like, "Who did you piss off in the previous life?" and "What did you do so wrong to deserve that?" My answer to these are simply "nobody" and "nothing." Don't get me wrong, I also get the comments like "I have always wanted to have twins!" and "I am so jealous! To be honest I stil l do not understand completely and don't know if I ever will.

What I do know is that Brady and Easton are the best thing that have ever happened to me. They are the best boys in the world and they have been such a blessing in my life! I consider myself one of the luckiest people to have these two darling boys who make me smile every day!

So the reason for my post today is so I can say that I LOVE being a mother of TWINS and feel so blessed to be one!

This was tonight after they ate their dinner! (can you tell them apart?) They were being so cute and laughing at each other! This was the ending to a long and fun day. Ry had a short school day so we went swimming with daddy which they love to do! (Of course I forgot my camera, sorry) Ryan was getting his mouth full of water and then spitting it up in the air. They were laughing so hard, it was hilarious. Neither of them wanted me, they just wanted their daddy! I didn't mind because Ryan was loving it! I love my family and spending time with them!

A Night Out

We had a fun night out with our family tonight. There is a place in Henderson called The District with shops and restaraunts that has bands playing so we decided to check it out. We met a lady from Ryan's class named Debbie who is the nicest lady ever. She puts together study groups and gets everyone together to go running and on bike rides. She is amazing, she is in her 30's and does triathalons and races all the time. Tomorrow a bunch of them are running 13 miles for fun...that is a half marathon. I don't know whose idea of fun that is, not mine. She has a little girl named Sophia who is 2 and so dang cute. We hung out with them for a bit and then went and got some dinner. There was a reggae band playing in the background and all these trees with lights on it and families with little kids running around everywhere. It was such a neat atmosphere. There was a family that walked by and the dad had a BYU hat on and I almost yelled "Go Cougars!" but I didn't. It was a fun night. The kids loved the music and were clapping their hands as we stood there and listened. We are definitely going to go back there again!

Crazy Dayz!

So my kids have really cracked me up the last 2 days! Here are some funny stories for your entertainment.

1. Yesterday Easton got a toy stuck in the bottom of his walker. He crawled in after it but then could not get out because it is a tight fit for a chubby bubby! I had to take a picture before saving him. It was hard to get him out though and I hit his head and scraped his knee. It was sad but he got his toy back!

2. Later that day they were both being so fussy so I was trying to think of something to entertain them. I put them in the pool and they were so happy. I was reading Harry Potter and they were enjoying splashing. All the sudden I looked up to see Brady picking up rocks, licking them and then throwing them back on the ground. That is the joy of living in Vegas, no grass just rocks. He was so mad when I put a towel down so he couldn't get to the rocks. He threw the biggest tantrum and our swimming quickly ended.

3. This morning I was feeding my kids and Brady decided he was ready to feed himself. He was throwing the biggest fit and trying to take the spoon from me. I picked him up and that didn't help so I set the oatmeal down to get him back in his bumboo and he grabbed a fist full of oatmeal and shoved it in his mouth. I finally got his high chair out and gave him food he could feed himself. I love that picture of him, he has a runny nose, blotchy face from crying and if you enlarge it and look closely you can see the oatmeal in his fist.

4. Because of the oatmeal experience I had to give them a bath. I stuck them in and sat down on the toilet to continue to try to read Harry Potter. Pretty soon Brady fell over and kicked Easton over. They were both flailing their arms and kicking their little legs a million miles a minute. I jumped up and my book fell in the bathtub as I tried to sit them both back up. Sorry Chad! I have been spending my day trying to air it out.

Anyway, kind of a long post but I love my kids and they are always making me laugh or giving me anxiety! They are the best things in the world!

Laila Ruth Hill!

So they did it, they named her...yeah! I love it! I think it is very pretty and sounds cute with Aria. I guess Chad was partially responsible for this one as they got Laila from a book that Aleena and Chad both read. Ruth is Aleena's mother's name so they got that from her. So we now have Aria Joeen and Laila Ruth...very cute!

I talked to Aleena tonight and mom and baby are doing well. Aria spent some time at the hospital this morning and we are thinking this might take some getting used to for her. I think that is pretty much every child though. Aleena will go home from the hospital tomorrow and start packing and getting ready for the big move which they plan to make on September 4 or 5! We can't wait!

Welcome Baby Girl Hill!

Congratulations to Geoff and Aleena who had their second baby girl tonight at 7:02. She was 7 pounds 4 ounces and 20.5 inches long. She is yet to be named but as soon as she has one I will post it! She is so dang cute! I think she looks a lot like Aria but it is hard to tell right now.

Aleena is my hero! She has done both of her deliveries natural and has been amazing through both. This one came so quick the midwife was not even in her scrubs and there was no nurse in the room so Geoff, my mom, her mom and her sister ended up helping out. Kind of funny! Everything went great and as you can see from the picture Aleena looked beautiful as ever minutes after! Way to go Aleena!

I was so sad to have to leave this morning knowing the baby would most likely come today but it was time for us to get back to Ryan. We are lucky to have Geoff and Aleena moving just down the street from us in a short 2 weeks so that makes it easier (though the picture of all my sisters breaks my heart) I will get to see the baby every day! It was good to come home and Ryan was so happy to see us. The boys were fabulous in the car again, I am so lucky! They were very excited to see their daddy!

More pictures and news on the baby to come!

A Post for Ryan

Hi this is Ryan. I don't usually do this cause it's Sarah's thing. However, my good name is being associated with all this high school musical and so you think you can dance garbage. I did have that pretty funny Seinfeld post that got Sarah all sorts of bugged, HA HA.
Here is a little something that I am excited for and can't wait for it to start, FOOTBALL!!!

Im looking forward to the mighty cougars repeating as Mountain West Champs, and the 49ers are geared to have a great season with all their young talent. I'm a bigger fan of college football, but the niners are lookin good. I think I better give my team some love and watch their games.

Also included is a small tribute to
coach Bill Walsh, who in my oppinion was the
best NFL coach of all time.

The HS2 After Math...

So our party was a success. There were many in attendance sporting their red and white! Our TV struggled a bit and we were freaking out but it all ended up okay and we were able to see the whole thing.

We LOVED the movie! We thought it was a great sequel. We were impressed by the dancing, singing and acting. It was definitely a little cheesy (maybe a lot) which was much expected and thoroughly enjoyed. The break up song (gotta go my own way) was the best. Abbey and I have watched it over and over and ALMOST cried. The multiple kisses really topped off the night for me. I am mostly excited for my niece Kylee and my brother Geoff to learn all the songs and dances and start performing for me! They are the most entertaining.

We were so excited about the show that we totally forgot to take pictures. After it was over Abbey, Haley and Kelsey paused it and took these pictures which I thought were so funny. Sorry, only pictures of the three of them to show how pathetic we are. Enjoy!
