An Uninvited Guest
Today was a crazy day. I woke up and went to aerobics at my church, came home and got the kids in bed and started to work. We get sprayed for bugs every other month and today was the day. The guy called and told me he was on his way. I ran downstairs to pick up and as I walked down the stairs I saw a BIG bug on my floor. I jumped up on my kitchen table (since I am terrified of anything) and tried to get closer so I could see it. I immediately recognized it as a scorpion. Oh my gosh, I was freaking out. I decided I was just going to sit on the table and make sure it didn't move until the pest control guy came. I waited forever and to make a long story short I somehow missed the guy (he did the outside but said he knocked and I didn't answer) and I suddenly got the bill on my front door. I called and asked them to please come back and spray inside and kill the scorpion so I could get off the table. He was so nice when he came and was laughing at me. The scorpion hadn't moved in the 30 minutes I had been watching it so we thought it was dead. He started spraying it and it started running around. I was standing on the table screaming like a little girl. He was laughing so hard. He wanted to smash it but I wouldn't let him. He finally got it onto a paper and took it outside and killed it. He sprayed my house really good and told me that if I see anything at all they would come back but they should be gone. My kids were asleep during all of this which is a good thing because I probably would have made them sit in their highchairs the whole time. I am such a whimp but I HATE BUGS...yuck. When my kids woke up we left. They are now crawling around the floor and I am creeped out.
This is from kind of far away, well from the table I was standing on, but it was so yucky! I am cringing just thinking about it.

Next time call me. I'm glad the bug guy did come. Glad nothing happened to the boys. Jaxson was sorry he fell asleep.
HA!!! That is so funny! I can totally seeit. I am very afraid of bugs too and would have done the same thing. I love it.
Your mom told the story tonight and it was hilarious! She always tells a good story and we laughed and laughed but if I were you, I probably would have screamed too!!!!
Katie
Holy cow...I would have been hysterical! Seriously...still cannot go downstairs at night because of the one cockroach I saw 4 weeks ago! Glad you got that taken care of!
I would have reacted the same way.
Oh my heck, you are so stinkin funny! The funniest part is picturing it all! You kill me!!! And, way to be prepared with a camera close by! ha ha ha...I'm impressed :-D
That's hillarious! I can't believe that you stood on the table and waited for the bug guy to rescue you!
Sarah you're a nut! Scorpions are discusting. Try big flying cockroaches. At least the scorpion just sat there and didn't move.... I'll have to tell you a funny story about Lance and a big spider sometime, you'll die. It's hilliarious. I think Lance is more afraid of spiders and creepy crawly things than most people. I'm glad you got your house sprayed though.
ugh, I would have DIED!
Just what you need before all the family descends on you for the big birthday party, a SCORPION infestation! Don't be embarrassed by being a wimp. You are in good company, I would have done the same thing! Actually you are braver than I would have been, I would have grabbed the kids and gotten on the roof until someone saved me from the evil insect. Your stories just keep a smile on my face all day long!
That is horrible! I would have freaked out, too! Now I'm going to be paranoid that I'll find one in our house. I'm glad that bug man was able to take care of it!
OH man, that would totally freak me out...I hate bugs too. When Mike is gone and a brave, but when he's home I am totally whimpey and make him kill everything.
You know Ryan DiLello? No way. I know them.
EW! glad its dead.
That is soooo funny.. I am glad you are good.. Yay for the bug sprayer..
A scorpion? That's not a bug my friend, that is a potentially deadly creature that I am terrified of!! My biggest fear while we were in Arizona was finding one in my shoe, since that was always the story of how someone put their foot in their shoe and got stung... Yikes!!!!
Oh I would've freaked! You are so funny! I love you. Hope your home is bug scorpion free now. Yuck!
Ha Ha Ha, I am laughing out loud right now, that is so funny. The funniest thing is that I would have done the exact same thing. I have to catch bugs under a cup and wait for paul to come home and kill them.Yuck Yuck Yuck... So funny, I love you Sarah!
Oh my gosh, I totally forgot you two got married!! :) I was browsing around and saw you guys and had to say hi! I cant believe how cute your little family is! I hope you are both doing well and its great to see you again! Jenn Jackson( use to be Eckles)
They have those things all over here in Phoenix. I always have to look where I walk because they are so common.
I'm not scared of bugs, but I would have screamed and jumped on the table too.... OH MY GOSH THAT IS SO GROSS!!!! i'm so sorry.
